Banks-Browne and Gilbert are British GP wildcards

Husky’s Elliott Banks-Browne is the sole British wildcard in Sunday’s MXGP at Matterley Basin, joining regulars Shaun Simpson, Tommy Searle, Max Anstie and Graeme Irwin.

And in the MX2 class, Honda’s on-form Josh Gilbert joins Ben Watson, Adam Sterry and Conrad Mewse on the start gate.

And there are lots of Brits in the other classes, including Brian Wheeler, Mervyn Anstie, Lee Tolan, Phil Mercer, and Tony Tunnell in the Vets class where they will face ex world champ Mickael Pichon.

The EMX250 race has James Dunn, Lewis Hall, Christopher Mills, Martin Barr, Dylan Woodcock, Oli Benton, Charlie Cole, Ashton Dickinson, Lewis Tombs, Todd Kellett, Mel Pocock, Liam Knight, Josh Spinks, James Carpenter, Steven Clarke, Taylor Hammal and Brad Todd. Tom Grimshaw was entered but is out after breaking his arm at the weekend.

And the EMX300 two-stroke race stars Brad Anderson with Billy King, Ben Putnam, Lewis Gregory, Brad Wheeler, John Robson, Ben Franklin, Matt Moffat, Corey Hockey, Charlie Putnam, Jaydon Murphy, Henry Siddiqui, Rob Holyoake, Jamie Skuse and Ashley Wilde.
