Bobby’s back in Britain on Par Homes Husky

Two-time British champion Evgeny Bobryshev will join team mate Josh Gilbert at the European rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship, as well competing to win back his British crown in the ACU British Motocross Championship, for the Par Homes RFX team which has swapped from KTM to Husqvarna for 2020.

The Russian will be running his iconic ‘777’ on the Husqvarna Motorcycles FC 450 machinery in both the MXGP and MX1 classes.

Bobby took his first British title in 2010 on Honda but had to wait eight years until claiming his second in 2018 when he made his return to British racing on a Suzuki following an extended break from the championship. Both times were under the wing of team manager Neil Prince, who is now with the RFX-backed Husky team.

Over his 10-year racing career in the FIM World Motocross Championship, Russian Bobby has collected a wealth of podium finishes with a season best finish of third in 2015. The Russian’s elaborate style on the bike combined with his character, have made him an MXGP and British fan favourite.

PAR Homes RFX Racing will be making its racing debut at the first round of the FIM World Motocross Championship, which is on home soil for the team at Matterley Basin, Winchester, on 1st March 2020.

“I am pleased to be back working with Neil again under PAR Homes RFX Racing, we have a good relationship as we have known each other a long time. He worked with me back in 2018 when I won the British Championship so I know the way he works, and the team setup will suit me for 2020. This is my first time with a European Manufacturer in my racing career, so this part is a whole new experience for me.  I am sure after initial testing I will feel comfortable, I have heard good things about the Husqvarna FC 450. With riding back in the UK, the aim for me is to come back and take the British title again. I feel that next year, the British Championship has the strongest field of riders it has ever had, which is going to make some really interesting racing and I believe it will be good to watch.”

eil Prince- Team Manager PAR Homes RFX Racing Husqvarna
“I am really pleased to announce that we have signed Bobby for 2020. He is a very good friend of mine and I know that he is great to work with. He is new to riding the Husqvarna FC 450, but I am confident he will adapt quickly to riding it as there will be little we have to do to it to make it work for him. Bobby has the kind of personality where he will give it 110 per cent both and off the track. He really uplifts the morale of the team and his wealth of experience will be inspiring to the younger, less experienced riders. The fact that he is such a strong team player off the track, is what makes him very unique.”
