British championship dates revealed

British adult and youth championship organisers RHL have released 15 weekend dates for rounds next year, without specifying which will be adult or youth rounds. The calendar was revealed today, the same day as the GPs were announced. It’s likely it will be tweaked to avoid clashes with the EMX European championship rounds as there are clashes with the Finnish and Spanish rounds on August 22 and October 17. The EMX 65 and 85 dates haven’t been revealed yet.

The rival MX Nationals series recently announced its six-round series for 2021 and the first four of the six rounds clash with these RHL dates. They are April 2-5, May 1-3, June 5-6 and July 3-4. The other two dates are August 28-30 and September 25-26. The September date clashes with the MX of Nations in Italy.

Here are the RHL dates, (and dates in brackets that clash with EMX rounds):

27th & 28th March
3rd & 4th April
10th & 11th April
17th & 18th April
1st, 2nd & 3rd May
15th & 16th May
5th & 6th June
26th & 27th June
3rd & 4th July
10th & 11th July
17th & 18th July
21st & 22nd Aug (EMX250 and 125 Finland)
4th & 5th Sept
18th & 19th Sept
16th & 17th Oct (WMX and EMX 125 Spain)

Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities commented: “With the pandemic and the uncertainty for 2021, the calendar is very condensed so we can have a full season of racing for the Official ACU British Motocross Championships. These dates are subject to the release of the EMX.”
