From club riders to top-level racers, motocross was turned upside-down in 2020. First by the storms that lashed the UK, then by the global catastrophe of Covid-19. But motocross people are not the sort to lie down and let the strange new world stop everyone having fun on dirt bikes. From training schools and private track hires to some serious racing, and enterprising circuit owners finding ways to stay within the law, slowly there was a return towards normality. Getting people together to forget their problems and twist the throttle on dirt bikes was, for many, a beacon of light in an otherwise terrible year.
