Deano signs Honda supercross deal

After eight years at Husky, Dean Wilson will ride a Fire Power Honda in a multi-year contract with the squad that will see him compete in the AMA Supercross series on a CRF450. In addition, Wilson will race in the FIM World Supercross Championship with the Honda Genuine Fire Power Honda Racing team.

The 2022 AMA 250 National Motocross Champion has a wealth of experience and in 2023 he will race the 450 classin the FIM World Supercross Championship, under the Honda Genuine Fire Power Honda Racing umbrella, Wilson will make his CRF450 debut on October 8th in Cardiff, Wales. Dean will also compete in selected races of the 2022 Australian Supercross Championship, before doing the complete 2023 AMA Supercross series and the 2023 Australian Supercross Championship.

Dean said, “I’m very excited to join the Fire Power Honda team in America, as well as the Honda Genuine Firepower Honda Racing squad in WSX. The CRF450 is a proven bike and I know that I can achieve a lot with the team of people that is in place here. There is going to be a lot of experience and knowledge under the tent – I’m really happy that I have landed here.”
