DEP backs British two-stroke championship

British exhaust giants DEP Pipes are now official sponsorship partners of the new ACU British two-stroke championship.
With DEP being synonymous with 2 stroke racing in the UK having been title sponsors of previous two-stroke championships down the years, it seems an obvious choice for the company to get involved with the new ACU series, that will be part of the Maxxis British MX championship over four rounds.
To offer up something a little different, DEP Pipes will also be manufacturing the trophies for the top three at each round of the championship and will of course have a presence at the event.
DEP’s Marketing man Jeff Perrett explains more about their decision to support the series. “We’re happy to be involved with another race series. We’re already committed to youth racing right at the beginning in the form of the DEP Auto Challenge for 2017 and now we’re also supporting what will be another solid championship. It’s already proved it’s popularity with a full line up of entrants to the series and some really good riders on that list.
“The racing will be fast and tough and we love that, so I’m really looking forward to watching the races as a fan. We also love the sound of 2 strokes bombing around, just that alone puts a smile on our faces, so we’re pleased and proud to be supporting this new series and hopefully it will establish itself well and be around for many years to come. It was a no brainer for us really, our name and reputation always gets linked with 2 stroke racing with our history. Hopefully this is a new chapter that will be a fun and successful for all. We’re excited for the first round.”
