Entries flood in for popular Sproxton

One of the most popular AMCA tracks is back in action this weekend after three years away, and entries have ramped up. The Oakham club’s event at Sproxton on Sunday today filled all its MX1 Junior spaces, but there are slots in MX2 juniors and all other classes. So far, 120 riders have booked in.

The circuit – one of the old stomping grounds of MotoHead back in the day – is a natural terrain track with good loamy soil which has been graded and watered all week. And the club is trialling a new Mini auto50/ 65cc class on a shortened track.

Along with the new mini class the normal Expert/Senior and Junior classes are running and an Evo/ Vets class. The track can be found signposted from the A607 between Melton and Grantham at Waltham on the Wolds and Croxton Kerrial. Camping available on the Saturday night.
