Go Extreme this Sunday!

Nestled nicely between the overindulgences of Christmas and the hangovers of New Year’s Eve, the Sudbury club are once again holding their annual masochist’s delight called the Sudbury Clubs Extreme enduro at the Foxborough venue.

It’s on Sunday the 30th. The course which has been worked on from last year will include the usual big truck tyres to throw your bike at. A concrete staircase. Lots of barrels, old telegraph poles and tree trunks all very slippy from the morning due to. Plus, anyone that’s ever been to Foxborough will know about the endless mud and water that just adds to all the fun.

It’s a two hour most laps event which starts at 11.00 with a mass start and is sighted just off the Halstead Road between Halstead and Sible Hedingham in Essex.

There is a strong field of riders already entered, but the club will always take some more rider brave enough to take on the even contend with, and every finisher gets a gold (in colour) medal to wear with pride as a survivor and perhaps the next challenger to Billy Bolt on the extreme world stage.

Charlie Frost has just confirmed as entered while Ben Wibberley who has ridden in all of the past four has a great chance to win this year, he has been so close in the past.  Also, in the Pro Class is Stevie Roper (the creator of the event), his cousin Craig, Will Hughes and Freddie Davis (not the comedian haha). Last December winner of the Expert Class Jason Pearce has entered along with Barney Thurgood and Mark Kirby.  16-year-old Joe Phillips has entered the Clubman Class and is looking to do very well while Jake Roper who turns 16 just before the day is being encouraged to ride.

It’s good fun to watch and finishes in time for a pub lunch.
