Stylish MXGP star Valentin Guillod will be out of action for a few weeks following a crash in the Russian MXGP qualifying race yesterday. He went down in a first corner crash and broke his hand. He’ll have surgery on Monday.

He said: “Unfortunately my Russian GP got stopped in the first corner, a collective crash at the start. I broke my metacarpel bones on the right hand. Fly back home tomorrow & surgery on Monday.”
