Jeffrey Herlings crashed on the warm-up lap for the Latvian GP and his injured right foot was hit and run over by Arminas Jasikonis who couldn’t avoid the fallen Dutchman.
Herlings then went out and took the lead from Arnaud Tonus on the last lap to take his first win for nine months.
But he then went to hospital for an X-Ray where it was announced he’s broken his ankle so will sit out the second moto.
He said: “Had a small crash and another rider rode over my bad foot and broke my ankle. I just can’t believe it any more.”
