Motocross pays tribute to Tom Brown

A procession of motocross bikes followed the funeral cortege of Tom Brown was died in a motocross crash in Sedgefield, County Durham recently.

The funeral of the 27-year-old was held at St Mary’s Church in the town, with the coffin arriving on a trailer pulled by a tractor as Tom was a farmer.

The coffin was carried by riders in motocross kit including his pal Matt Moffatt, who missed the weekend’s EMX 300 European championship opener in Germany to be at the funeral.

The German race was won by Brown’s friend Brad Anderson, who fought back the tears to dedicate the win to his fallen friend.
