New race festival in January!

A brand new, week-long festival of motocross culminating in an International ace for GP riders is to be run at the famous Redsand MX Park in Spain from January 9-15 next year. The first three days will be for amateur MX2 and MX1 riders, as well as 50, 65s, 85s and Honda 150s. And the final days will be for pro MX1 and MX2 riders, plus classes for women, vets, EMX125 and EMX250s.

The track at Castellon, which backs the Suzuki MXGP team, is used as a test and training track by many GP teams in the winter so the organisers decided to host a race festival, which it hopes will grow to rival American races like the Loretta Lynn’s event.

Redsand says it will have more prize money for the pro riders than any other pre-season international, and winners of the youth classes will pick up sponsorship for the season. More details from http://www.redsandmxpark.es/the-race/
