Howard Marriott and his very talented racer daughter Vicky have got together to form the British Womens Motocross Association. The BWMA will be affiliated to the AMCA and provide a major National series for which dates and venues will be announced in early January.

Already the BWMA have acquired a title sponsor, Westermans International Ltd, who are a Leicester-based company specialising in industrial welding equipment. Along with plenty of tasty silverware there will also be cash prizes including a very big £1,000 for the overall series winner. In addition to Westermans involvement, Bel-Ray Oils will be providing holeshot prizes at every round.

An added bonus for all the girls entering is that the top three in the BWMA title race will also automatically be selected to represent Great Britain in the following season’s IMBA European Championship. Howard and Vicky are determined to provide not only a very enjoyable, competitive series but also show that female riders can make a structured, progression in the sport.
