No Team GB for ISDE

Britain will not send an official Trophy team to the world’s most prestigious enduro, the ISDE in Chile this year. Despite having some of the best enduro riders in the world – like world champ Steve Holcombe, Nathan Watson, Brad Freeman, Jamie and Danny McCanney – the ACU has canned the squad.

A statement says: “At the ACU Trials and Enduro Committee meeting held on 12th March it was agreed that due to a number of factors, in particular the lack of names coming forward from potential Trophy Squad riders, and the difficulties with logistics co-ordination, the Committee would not be supporting the entries of Trophy teams at the event in Chile this year.”

Many of our top factory riders have not contested the event in recent years. It’s a blow for the sport in the UK as Britain has been one of the mainstays of the ISDE for many decades.
