Osborne and Cianciarulo step away from Supercross

US National champ Zach Osborne and title rival Adam Cianciarulo are to miss the remaining US Supercross rounds in Atlanta and the Salt Lake City double-header in a bid to be fully fit for the US Nationals which start next month.

Osborne starting riding again yesterday, returning from a back injury. He said: “Enjoyed being back and enjoyed not being in pain while riding for the first time in a bit. It’s been a winding road to get back to riding and feeling good. With that said I won’t be doing anymore @supercrosslive races but focusing on preparing for my title defense in @promotocross. Thanks to everyone who has had my back literally and metaphorically through this process.”

Kawasaki man Cianciarlo broke his collarbone recently and said: “I will not be back for the remaining supercross rounds. The last six months or so have been super tough. Not stoked on it. That said, life will always have its challenges and I feel my job is to attack those challenges with the best attitude possible. Excited to get back out there soon!”
