Ken Roczen’s AMA championship bid is in tatters after he crashed hard while in third place on Saturday’s main event in Anaheim. Chasing leader Ryan Dungey and Cole Seely, he sailed over the bars and landed hard, holding his left arm.
Honda confirmed it’s a compound fracture which will take many weeks to heal. “Word from the hospital is that Roczen has suffered a compound fracture to the left forearm. Everyone at Honda is wishing him the best!” Honda said on Twitter.
It means Ryan Dungey now leads the title race.
