Yamaha’s Jake Shipton’s took a third win in the iconic Patchquick Trophy Race at Little Silver in Devon this week.
Crescent-back Jake has had an impressive week of racing after taking his career-first British Motocross Championship podium on his YZ450F at Desertmartin on Sunday.
Switching the sand of the Irish track to the hard pack dirt of Devon for the Patchquick Trophy, Jake and the YZ showed consistent performance on both surfaces and after a fierce battle with Elliot Banks-Browne, ultimately came out on top to lift the impressive trophy. Luke Hawkins took third overall and young Yamaha rider Taylor Hammal had his first ever 450 race and took fourth.
