Sihvonen out for the season

KTM Diga Racing Junior Team’s Miro Sihvonen had a big get-off at a training camp ride at home in Finland on Wednesday. Things went wrong on a jump for the 18-year old EMX250 contender, he landed on his feet but damaged the knee cap of his right leg.

Miro successfully underwent knee surgery on Friday. At his stage it’s not determined how long his recovery will take exactly. However it’s certain that he will need several months to heal completely.

Unfortunately this means that Sihvonen’s season, that started promising, will end prematurely. Miro was leading the EMX250 series and the ADAC Youngster cup until he severely dislocated his shoulder in Jauer, at the second round of the German Championship. KTM Diga Racing Junior Team wishes Miro all the best with his recovery.
