Spinks splits with Manchester Husky

British MX2 championship racer Josh Spinks has split with the Manchester MC Husqvarna team and will run a KTM as a privateer for the rest of the season.

Spinks announced on social media: “It’s been a tough start of the year for more reasons than one, I decided to hand the Husqvarna back & leave the Manchester Mc team. Shook hands and agreed it was for the best!”

He posted a photo of the KTM he’ll ride after testing it this week.

“A fresh start on this pretty girl at the weekend & after riding it this week I feel a lot happier. Colin (SPS) will be spinning the spanners & doing suspension / dyno work like we did in 2013-15 when things were going well! Huge thank you to Callum Swan (WorxFinancial) for everything he is doing and Matt Smith for the machinery, let’s start improving. Thank you to everyone who shows support.”
