Sterry has knee surgery

British MX2 champ Adam Sterry has had has surgery on his knee which he injured in the Valkenswaard GP two weeks ago.

“Surgery went well, now for the hard work!” he said.

Factory Kawasaki MX2 rider Sterry pulled out of the Dutch GP after damaging the knee despite not crashing. “Had a coming together and just put my leg out and torn something in my knee while up the sharp end in moto one, had to pull in with the pain.”

Sterry later announced he’d torn his ACL ligament, which could potentially put him out of action for the rest of the season.
