Around 2000 mourners, including former world champions Stefan Every, Harry Everts and Joel Smets, waited patiently in line to say a final farewell to five-times world champ Eric Geboers at the Lommel GP track in Belgium yesterday.

Five-times world champ Eric Geboers will be laid to rest in his native Belgium next week in a private ceremony, but fans are being invited to gather at the Lommel GP circuit to pay their respects between 7-9pm on Tuesday May 15.
Geboers was drowned on Sunday night when he dived
Five times world champion Eric Geboers drowned after jumping in a lake to save his dog at around 10pm last night. The 55-year-old was on a boat and jumped in to save his dog, say witnesses, but did not resurface. It was at the Miramar lake near Mol in Belgium.
