Team England leads Evo Vets Nations

Team England of Kurt Nicoll, Brian Wheeler, Tom Church and Mark Eastwood lead the Evo class in the Vets MX des Nations at Farleigh Castle after the opening day. With around 600 riders competing in perfect conditions, the track roughed up well and provided great racing as Team USA held on to second place. Their team is Mike Brown, John Dowd, Doug Dubach and Todd De Hoop.

Both Evo Nations races were won by South African Nev Bradshaw, out on the 1989 CR500 he recently raced in the final British two-stroke championship round. But he had to fight off determined attacks from former US Supercross champ Mike Brown, out on a fearsome four-stroke Husqvarna.

Other class moto winners included Kristian Whatley on a CR125, out for the first time after breaking his leg, and Brad Anderson on the CR500. It was bad luck for Jeff Emig as his Husky broke down on the opening lap of the Evo twin-shock race.
