Tragic death of Briton Tommy Morris

Well-known British racer Tommy Morris died yesterday after crashing at the Paraje de Los Balcones motocross circuit in Spain.

The 20-year-old was spending time in Spain this week and had been riding at several tracks in the country, alongside riders like Josh Spinks who has been just one of the racers to pay tributes on social media. Tommy was close friends with MX Nationals MXY2 champ Ike Carter.

The news was confirmed in Spanish newspaper Murcia Today.

A message from Michelle Killingback on behalf of the family says:

“We would like to thank everyone for your kind words and support at this heartbreaking time. We can’t reply to them all but have read each one through the night.

“Tommy is so very much loved, by all that know him. To us he was the best son anyone could ask for our Tom Boy.

“We are devestated beyond belief and no words can ever describe the pain that we are feeling as a family. Our only comfort is that he died doing the sport that he loved and he was so so happy.

“Please keep Tommy in your thoughts and prayers. If you have any photos or videos of him please send or share them so that we can see his happy smiling face again.”

Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and friends at this very difficult time.
