Tributes to beach racer Terraforte

Tributes have been paid to well-known beach racer Michael Terraforte who was found dead by the side of the A299 road in Kent yesterday after going missing on Monday. His death is not being described as suspicious.

Michael had been a stalwart of the beach race scene for seven years and contested overseas beach races, too.

Tony Nash, organiser of the long-running Margate beach race, says the off-road community in Kent has been left in shock. And he is planning a tribute to 33-year-old Michael in next year’s Margate race.

Our thoughts go to the family and friends of father-of-four Michael at this terrible time.
