Women racers Bank Holiday double

It’s a busy double Bank Holiday weekend of action coming up for the Country’s fastest females contesting the BWMA British Women’s Motocross Championship sponsored by Westermans International. Warmingham Lane is the place to be with round 4 of this super series promoted by the Sandbach MXC.

In the main Elite Ladies class, Redline Honda ace Chelsea Gowland is setting a simply blistering pace at the top. So far in the nine moto’s completed, super Chelsea has suffered just one defeat, that reverse coming in the final clash in the opening day of racing at Bushton. Taking that victory was Amie Goodlad, the girl who is regularly proving to be Chelsea’s closest challenger. During the last round held at the spectacular Brookthorpe circuit, whilst Gowland dominated ahead of Goodlad, the remaining top six places went to Leonni Tighe, Ellie Slightholm, Taylor Scott and Catherine King.
If your begining to think Gowland is invincible, then what about the performances of 14 year-old Elisha Elliott in the Youth class! So far young Elisha has won all 9 races in blistering fashion, simply cruising to victory on each occasion. At Brookthorpe, Jaysi Austin, Hannah Jones, Cristina Palmer, Izzy Neale and Grace Packman were the next best. Although Elliott is currently dominating proceedings, you can still be sure that all of her fellow competitors will still keep giving 100% effort in every moto and maintain their challenge right until the final chequered flag of the season.
