ASA Husqvarna snaps up teen Talviku

Estonian 17-year-old Jorgen-Matthias Talviku has signed for the British ASA Husqvarna team and will be competing on the FC 250 during the 2020 season in the MX2 class the ACU British Motocross Championship as well as representing the team throughout the FIM EMX250 European Championship.

The talented teen finished an impressive fourth overall in the fiercely competitive 2019 EMX125 series and rode as a wildcard in the final round of the 2019 ACU British Motocross Championship where he finished sixth. Talviuki will have a full racing calendar for the 2020 season with eight British rounds and the step up to EMX250 means he will also be racing a further eight rounds, all in different European countries.

Talviuki will be making his debut for the team in the UK at Hawkstone International on the 9th February 2020.

With more plans on the horizon for the ASA United Husqvarna Motorcycles team, further announcements will follow over the next few weeks.

Jorgen-Matthias Talviku, ASA United Husqvarna
“Lee got in touch a few weeks ago about riding for his team and I was so happy to get the offer to ride for both him and Husqvarna Motorcycles UK. I have only raced one British Round before at Landrake at the end of last year, but I enjoyed the experience and I will put everything in to my racing for 2020. Now I have signed for ASA United Husqvarna and tested the bike, I can’t wait to get going”

Lee Tolan: Team Principal, ASA United Husqvarna
“I’m really excited to sign Jorgen-Matthias Talviku as our MX2 rider for the 2020 season. We saw him race at the final round of the ACU British Motocross Championship at Landrake and were really impressed by what he did considering that was his first ride in the UK. He already has a great racing CV in Europe and with him racing in the EMX250 Championship and the British series, we are looking forward to working with him to achieve strong results next season.”
