British championship calendar changed

The organisers of the 2026 Motul ACU British Motocross Championship have confirmed a
revised venue/calendar update, addressing a major scheduling conflict that arose
between two ACU sanctioned events. The planned MXGB visit to Monster Mountain in
South Wales for round seven of the championship coincided with the FIM EnduroGP of
Great Britain on August 9 th , which also takes place in Wales.

With limited available dates remaining, it became apparent that having these major
events run in proximity would present challenges. Recognising the importance of both
events, extensive discussions and considerable behind-the-scenes efforts ensued to find a
viable solution.

The positive outcome sees Monster Mountain hosting Round Five of the 2026 MXGB
Championship on the weekend of June 14 and Round 7 being hosted at Duns, Scotland on
August 9, several hours away from FIM EnduroGP of Great Britain the event in Wales. This
change ensures that both events can operate independently without unnecessarily
clashing in such close proximity.

Paul Irwin, MXGB Director, expressed gratitude to all parties involved, stating, “It’s been a
tricky situation to resolve for several reasons, but I believe we’ve found a strong solution.
By simply swapping the two venues, we have been able to retain our original dates. We
would like to extend sincere thanks to Mark Thomas at Monster Mountain and Dave
Macvie at Duns for their cooperation and support in making this possible.”

Adam Rees, EnduroGP of Great Britain Director, states, “What a problem to have! Two
huge events both on the same weekend, it’s great to see motorsport thriving in the UK. A
huge thanks to the ACU & MXGB for making collaborative moves, ensuring that both
spectators and operational teams / suppliers can have the best of all worlds during such
busy months.”

Tim Lightfoot, the ACU President commented “With 11 FIM World Championship events in
the UK this year scheduling busy domestic championships has been especially
challenging.  It’s great to see organisers from different ACU disciplines working together
to ensure that major events don’t clash.  This hasn’t been an easy task so we would like to
thank Paul and Adam for their efforts in finding a solution that will enable fans to support
both events.“

The finalised calendar is now set, with excitement building for the commencement of the
