Deano inks a 2020 factory Husky deal

Scotsman Dean Wilson will stay with the factory Rockstar Husqvarna 450 team in the USA next season, he announced on social media.

“So stoked to announce that I will be staying with the Rockstar Husqvarna racing team for the 2020 season. Thank you everyone involved. I am very happy and grateful for another great year with these guys,” he said.

Wilson was dropped by the Red Bull KTM Factory team for 2017 after two injury-hit years. He started the season as a privateer on a Yamaha 450 but Christophe Pourcel left the Husky team which snapped up Deano.

He stayed with the team until the end of the 2018 season, but was replaced by Zach Osborne. Wilson started 2019 on a privateer Husky but was drafted back into the squad when Jason Anderson got hurt.

He had a third place finish but hurt his shoulder and missed the end of the SX season and the start of the outdoor nationals.
