GP ride for Hammal on Dixon Kawasaki

Briton Taylor Hammal has been revealed as part of Steve Dixon’s Kawasaki team in the MX2 world championship this year. Although there has been no formal announcement, the GP organisers have released the official approved list of GP teams and Hammal is on it.

He is riding alongside Wilson Todd in the re-branded Bike It MTX Kawasaki squad, which is Steve Dixon’s team.

It was recently revealed Hammal was to leave the Hooper Yamaha team for a GP ride but there has been no mention of bike or team until now. He did post a photo of himself last month wearing a Kawasaki shirt but said: “Ignore the t-shirt, I bought it off eBay!”

The only other British MX2 riders are Conrad Mewse and Joel Rizzi. The MXGP class has Adam Sterry, Shaun Simpson and Nathan and Ben Watson. The list has no mention of the Par Homes Husky team which is planning to field Josh Gilbert in the MXGP class.
