The super-secret prototype Triumph 250F has broken cover being tested in Europe by new test rider Clement Desalle, says an Italian magazine Motocliclismo Fuori Strada.
The bike clearly has an aluminium perimeter-style frame, quoshing rumours it could use a steel frame like a KTM. The factory is known to have bought used KTM race engines from a British team last year so they could investigate the wear and tear on a race-stressed motor. But the bike is all-Triumph in design and build.
Triumph will enter GPs and AMA Supercross next season with the 250 and enter 450 class racing in the USA and GPs a year later.
