Searle’s show of Arenacross class

Tommy Searle cleaned up at the fifth round of the British Arenacross Championship with a flawless performance in both Pro heats and the Main Event final, despite going to the gate last in his heats after being penalised for jumping on a yellow flag during qualifying.

Mewse tries to hold off Searle in the final

He quickly got into the lead in both his heats but had a terrible start in the final But by the end of the first lap, he was fourth as Joe Clayton led from Jack Brunell and Conrad Mewse. Red plate holder Mewse also had a bad start but managed to stay in front of Searle for a handful of laps until the Kawasaki man got by.

Podium joy for Tommy

At the front, Clayton went down when he crashed in to backmarker’s bike that was in the whoops. Soon, Searle had worked his way up to the front and controlled the moto as Mewse finally got by Burnell for second but couldn’t catch the leader.

Brunell battles with Mewse

Heading into the final round, Searle leads by two points from Mewse. Competitors in all classes are now focused on championship glory at the OVO Arena Wembley, on the 18th of February.
