Team GB ready for World Junior action

Thirteen young Brits will line up against the best in the world this weekend to represent their country in the 65cc, 85cc and 125cc categories.

The rider list changed slightly prior to Team GB making the journey to Bucharest in Romania. Guided by Team Manager Dave Willet, both 65cc and 85cc classes have five riders in each group, while the 125cc class has three.

Qualifying gets underway at 1pm (EEST), with the 125s out first. Ollie Colmer will line up with the A group, while Reece Jones and Freddie Gardiner will qualify with the B group.

Next up is the 65s with Harley Marczak and Nixon Coppins in the As and Arthur King, Casey Lister and Cohen Jagielski in the Bs. The 85s round out qualifying where Drew Stock, Hayden Statt and Robbie Daly will ride with Group A, leaving Alfie Geddes Green and Sonny Rooney to battle it out for a good qualifying time in Group B.

For those that don’t make it through qualifying, there are 10-minute plus 2-lap Last Chance sessions for each class. This should start around 3.50pm (EEST).

Sunday is race day with Warm-up from 9am followed by the first Junior MX World Championship race at 11.30am (EEST). The 65cc class will be first out on track.
