Team GB targets World Junior championship

It’s the biggest youth event in the world where the fastest young riders on the planet battle hard for a world title – and it’s happening next month at Romagne in France. And Team GB is primed and ready to go into action in the three classes for 65, 85 and 125.

As well as individual titles, there’s a team award and last year Team GB took a podium finish, just one point behind France in second while home nation Holland was the winner.

Team manager Dave Willet said: “Last year was an incredible performance by the whole team – riders, mechanics, coaches, parents, sponsors and everyone involved. And this year we once again have some amazing riders and great support. The riders have been showing awesome speed both on this island and carrying it over into Europe. We’re hoping for some great things and great memories to be made.”

The young riders who will wear the Union Jack to represent their country are:

65 riders Jett Gardiner, Cohen Jagielski, John Slade, Alfie Cotter and Forrest Roberts. On 85s are Arthur Moore, Harley Marczak, Olly Waters, Joel Winstanley Dawson and Brian Gyles while in the 125 class is Charlie Richmond, Hayden Statt, Drew Stock and Harry Lee.

MotoHead will be going with the team to France and bringing the news as it happens.
