Danny McCanney goes one Beta for 2023

After a glittering professional enduro career, winning 2 Junior World Championships, 3 British Enduro Championships and countless podiums at World Level, Danny McCanney will still contest the British Enduro Championship and some selected events in the 2023 season with the support of British Distributors Apico Factory Racing and Beta UK.

Danny with Apico boss Dylan Brown

Having helped the Manxman in the early stages of his career with brands such as Arai helmets, and Leatt Protectives, it was nice for Apico to receive his request for domestic support in 2023. Danny has chosen a select few brands he’s used in his career to help him in what will be an enjoyable season of riding for himself without expectation. We do hope this will be a recipe for success in the BEC and riding for Team Isle of Mann at the Vets des Nations motocross event in the summer. Brands confirmed as on board include Apico Factory Racing, Arai Helmets, Beta U.K., Leatt Protectives, Michelin, Polisport, Pro Taper and Twin Air with other possibilities still in the planning stages. With Danny still being a serious contender for the British Enduro Championship, 2023 looks to be an exciting season already.

Danny: “I’d contacted Apico as they have helped me in the past connect with brands whilst I was competing at world championship level. As my professional career has come to an end, they work with a lot of brands I admire and who have supported me, so I felt this was the best way to give something back. I’m honestly blown away by the level of support they have offered and from the brands they distribute as well as Beta U.K. I’m looking forward to a season without the pressure of the world stage and to having fun whilst performing my best to get results for my sponsors and supporters. I’d like to thank Dylan at Apico and John at Beta U.K. for their belief and the support that they have been able to offer. I’m looking forward to putting in strong performances at the races and going for another British Enduro title”.

Dylan Brown: “We’ve helped Danny in the past and I was happy to receive his email looking to represent brands he’s used over his career. No doubt Danny has used many brands in his time on the world enduro scene, so it’s a testament to Apico and the brands we distribute that he has opted to come back and use these again”.

John Lampkin & Danny

John Lampkin: “Having supported Danny in the past, I admire his work ethic and professionalism, it was nice to have him contact me and choose Beta to challenge for the British Enduro Title in 2023. I look forward to seeing him ride and go for another British Championship”.
