At the start of your subscription
Digital subscriptions begin with the most recent issue unless requested differently by the customer.

Your online account
Your Online Account is developed to allow you to stay in control of your subscription. Just login to your online account where you will be able to manage your magazine subscription. If you have done this already and have a password, simply complete your customer login details. Please allow 48 hours for any changes to appear.

I have reset my password and still can’t access the app

Once you reset your password it can take up to 24 hours to access the digital issues as our website needs to sync with the App and update your password.

I am having difficulties downloading the magazine

To download and view issues tap the download button on each issue cover. Please ensure that you are connected to a wi-fi network to ensure that the issues download correctly.

Can I view the App on my smartphone?

Yes, you can read the magazine on any internet-enabled device via its browser, or through the MotoHead app available on iTunes or Google Play.

Does the MotoHead app work on all tablets?

Yes, you can download the app via iTunes on your iPad, the Google Play store on your Android device, or via the web browser. While using the app in your browser, you can save a link to the app onto your home screen by opening the browser settings on your device and tapping ‘add to home screen’.

How can I free up space on my phone or tablet?

For the interactive digital versions of the magazine:

– Pinch to zoom out on any page of the magazine. This will zoom out of the magazine to bring up the navigation area. Press the ‘archive’ button at the bottom to delete that issue. It can be re-downloaded any time.

Some content is missing

This is because the magazine was not fully downloaded. Please archive the issue and re-download.

Privacy policy

MotoHead Magazine is determined to protect your privacy. It is very important to us that you should be able to use and enjoy our website without having to reveal more information than is necessary. However, knowing some information about our users is necessary to ensure that our service is continually improved. To be able to communicate with you we need to build an accurate picture of the needs and wishes of our users. This enables us to offer a service that is relevant and interactive.

Personal information

Depending on the nature of your involvement with our website we may ask you to provide personal information on a voluntary basis in order to get a clearer picture of our users. It is then up to you whether you give us this information.

If you enter our competitions, promotions or participate in other online offers you will need to give us some details about yourself. You may also choose to email us or contact us in other ways. Such contact gives us information about you.

If you have any financial dealings or make purchases from us, you will be asked for certain information. Some of this information will be shared with us so that we can send you your purchases. We do not see or keep credit card details and would not advise you to supply this kind of information in any other manner than through our trading partnerships where your information is securely protected by encryption, certification all within their protective software.

Collection

We use details (where no individual is identifiable) to help us improve our understanding of our users and their preferences. We use it to assist us in arranging relevant advertising, commercial opportunities and competitions as well as ensuring the best editorial coverage. It also helps us develop the website and audit its use.

The information about you as an identifiable individual, including contact details, may be used in the following ways:

To conduct market research and other surveys or to create and draw to your attention editorial material and commercial opportunities that may be of interest to you

Cookies

We use cookies to help personalise your use of our sites. A cookie is a small piece of information sent to your computer’s hard drive by the web server so that our website can remember your computer. Please remember that you can delete cookies from your hard drive at any time. This will mean that any settings such as your stored username and password will need to be reset. You can set your internet browser so that it will not allow cookies to be stored on your computer. This may reduce functionality of the site, preventing access to registered and subscriber only areas of the site, meaning that certain features or content will not be available to you. Further information on how to prevent cookies from being stored on your computer can be found in the Help menu of your internet browser.

Google Analytics

Our site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us to analyse how users use the MotoHead Magazine sites. The information generated by the cookie provides details of your use of our site (including your IP address) and will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our sites, compiling reports on website activity for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data kept by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate setting on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of motoheadmag.com. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Privacy

We may occasionally make details of your postal address available to other carefully selected companies whose products we think will be of interest. If you do not wish us to do this please email us at info@motoheadmag.com and we will make sure your details are not made available in this way.  We comply with the relevant legal requirements and take all reasonable care to ensure that your information is secure and private and is only seen by responsible third parties. However we cannot be held responsible for the actions of any third party who receives or obtains access to the information nor for any breach of security.

If you tell us that you do not want us to use your details, then data about your use of the website would only form part of aggregated statistics and would not be related to you as an individual. Please email info@motoheadmag.com at any time to let us know of any objections you may have regarding our use or disclosure of your data. In any event your personal details may be shared with third party organisations we have contracted to provide services such as delivery.

You should be aware that by using the website your personal data may be processed in or transferred to other countries and you agree to your personal data being transferred or processed in this way.

Intellectual property rights

Unless otherwise stated, the content of our site (including without limitation, software, graphics, text, images, designs, compilations, databases, targeting information, and the trademarks, logos, domain names, trade names, service marks, trade identities, any and all copyright material (including source and object code), and all other materials related to our site) (the “Content”) is protected by applicable copyrights, trademark rights, database rights and other proprietary rights. MotoHead (and/or our licensors) owns the Content. Nothing in these Terms of Use grants you a right or licence to use the Content except as expressly provided in these Terms of Use.

Subject to strict compliance with these Terms of Use, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-commercial, revocable, non-assignable and non-transferrable licence to use our site and to view, download for caching purposes only, and print pages from our site for your own personal use.

User content

“User Content” means material (including without limitation text, images, clips, videos, comments, posts and any underlying material) uploaded, shared or submitted to our site by any user.

Whenever you upload User Content to our site, or to make contact with other users of our site, you must comply with the Rules of Acceptable Use, set out below. You warrant that any such contribution does comply with those rules and standards, and you indemnify us for any breach of that warranty.

You shall remain the owner of the copyright in any original User Content that you upload, share or submit using our site. The permission you grant to us below is not exclusive. You may continue to use your own User Content in any way, including allowing others to use or exploit it, provided that such use does not interfere with or impair the rights you have granted to us in these Terms of Use.

With respect to User Content that you upload, share or submit to our site, you grant us the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and fully sub-licensable right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display your User Content worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form or media (whether now known or invented in the future, which may include other internet sites, mobile, television and/or radio) and you acknowledge that your User Content may be made available with advertising and/or sponsorship.

You agree to waive any moral or similar rights in any jurisdiction that you may have in and to any of the User Content you upload, share or submit, even if the User Content is modified, altered or changed in a way which is not agreeable to you.

When you upload, share or submit User Content using our site you may be making your User Content available to the general public. You warrant to us that:

Rules of acceptable use

Comments, message boards, personal profiles and any discussion forums or pages of our site where you are capable of posting material (including User Content) are provided for your private and non-commercial use and for the exchange of lawful, relevant, fair and appropriate information, opinions and comment. Use of our site that is inconsistent with those stated purposes is strictly prohibited.

Your use of our site generally is subject to the following rules which, by your use of the forums and the website, you are deemed to accept (and which amount to a non-exhaustive list of prohibited acts):

You must not:

Use obscene or offensive language or post obscene or offensive User Content;

upload, share or submit any User Content which is defamatory, abusive, discriminatory or hateful or which applauds, encourages or entices abuse, discrimination or hate;

Use our site for any illegal or unlawful purpose. You must comply with these Terms of Use at all times and with all applicable laws and regulations;

Upload, share or submit any User Content on our site which has been disclosed to you in confidence or which, by its nature, is confidential;

Upload, share or submit any User Content on the website (including contact details, last names, telephone numbers, street addresses or other identifying information of private individuals or public figures) which compromises the privacy or security of anyone other than yourself;

Upload, share or submit any User Content which may encourage criminal conduct or which may give rise to civil liability, or which is otherwise unlawful;

Upload, share or submit User Content belonging to any person (or any material where the rights belong to any person) other than yourself without the prior written consent of the owner of it;

Upload, share or submit User Content where the use by MotoHead, or any third party licensed or permitted by us, will give rise to any third party claims;

directly or indirectly suggest any endorsement or approval by MotoHead of a product, service, content or any belief or opinion expressed within a product or service;

Place any links on our site where those links take users to unlawful material or material that otherwise contravenes these Rules of Acceptable Use;

Place on our site advertisements nor make commercial solicitations nor use our site for any commercial purposes (which would include using our site to promote or encourage the sale of your goods/services);

Register or attempt to register as a member of our site unless you are at least 13 years old.

Use our site to solicit information from anyone under the age of 18;

impersonate another person or create a false or misleading identity for the purpose of misleading others as to your identity, or to collect information about other users;

Upload, share or submit User Content containing any spy ware, adware, viruses, corrupt files, worm programmes or other malicious code designed to interrupt, damage or limit the functionality of or disrupt any software, hardware, telecommunications, networks, servers or other equipment, Trojan horse or any other material designed to damage, interfere with, wrongly intercept or expropriate any data or personal information;

Alter, adapt, modify, copy or create a derivative work from the Content; or

upload, share or submit any User Content that authorises, enables or encourages the dissemination of junk mail or chain letters.

MotoHead accepts no responsibility for any statements, material (including User Content) or other submissions placed on our online forums by you or any third party, or for any loss or damage resulting from your breach of these Rules of Acceptable Use.

We reserve the right to edit or remove any material and User Content uploaded, shared or submitted using our site, for any reason whatsoever.

Notwithstanding our rights under these Terms of Use in relation to User Content, we do not undertake to monitor the submission or publication of User Content or users’ use of our site.
