Add your support to new Midlands track

A brand new track near the Donington Park circuit is facing massive opposition from locals who are publicly stating things like the track “will promote and attract the wrong crowd which will then lead to vandalism, dangerous driving, accidents.”

But Andrew Milburn, the man behind the track project, is calling for emails from riders in favour of a new circuit. And he says if you email in support, you’ll get a free ride day when the track gets permission.

He says: “I need your support for a new motocross track at Castle Donington. The local dog walkers want to stop this and have written lots of letters to the council. I know lots of you have written in support but I need more of you to write in, liking and sharing isn’t enough.”

If you can help please email karina.duncan@nwleicestershire.gov.uk and quote ref number 21/00027/FULM or try this link https://plans.nwleics.gov.uk/pub…/applicationDetails.do…

Look for:
Application Number: 21/00027/FULM
Address: Land North Of Trent Lane Castle Donington
Proposal: Change of use of land to leisure (motocross), to include the associated creation of three trackways for motorcycles, off-street parking provision, access and the siting of portable toilets and office cabin, and landscaping.

Some of the comments against this are:

“Massively against this the noise will be horrendous. The access is not suitable. Anglers use this road along with horse riders.”

“Will cause huge amounts of noise pollution, ruining the country side that we have left, will promote and attract the wrong crowd which will then lead to vandalism, dangerous driving, accidents. The area is already covered by industrial units. What was a quiet nice Derbyshire
village is becoming a busy small town.”

“The noise pollution throughout day and night would also ruin the area for any other local ventures whether it be horse riding, rambling or fishing.”

You know what to do!
