Anderson injured in freak crash

Supercross champ Jason Anderson looks like he’ll be out for the majority of the US season after a compound fracture to his foot in a freak crash at Glen Helen yesterday where he was actually not on the track!

While riding in an open practice session, a rider was hurt and the following riders diverted off the track. It was while riding alongside another rider on this off-track, the pair tangled and Anderson went down. It’s believed the rider he hit was a Kiwi riding on a Californian motocross holiday.

Anderson was carried off  by one of his team and today announced the extent of his injures. He has also vowed to return before the end of the season.

With Dean Wilson also out, it means Husky has no 450 factory riders in the AMA Nationals.
