APICO 2-STROKE FESTIVAL INCREASES RIDER SUPPORT

A huge support package of products is up for grabs for riders in all classes in what’s fast becoming the event of the year, the Apico 2-Stroke Festival featuring the Red Bull Pro Stroke National.

The popular annual event, which started in 2017, will be held over the weekend of 20-21 August at the well-loved Sellindge circuit in Kent and has classes for youths to over-40s, on old and new 2-strokes and 4-strokes. Plus, of course, some of the UK’s top riders in the Red Bull Pro class which is the icing on the cake for this grass roots mega-event.

It has already attracted a strong entry in all classes, particularly in the Red Bull Noughties – for bikes from 2000-2008 – and Over 40s 2-stroke, plus Youth 125 and 250F.  These classes are quickly filling up so act now to guarantee your place.  And remember, official British championship titles are up for grabs in four classes, too.

The Apico Youth groups are supported by leading race kit and rider safety brand Leatt where a staggering £5000 worth of products will be shared between two outstanding riders from the 85cc and 125cc classes. The lucky recipients will not necessarily be the ones who win on the track, but upcoming riders who the judges believe best represent UK youth motocross. It could be you!

To encourage riders to get booked in, top UK distributor Apico is awarding spot prizes to anyone entering early. This pot of incredible goodies will have a retail value of almost £2000 and will include the latest Arai MXV worth £550. There are some Forma Predator or Pilot Boots – subject to fitment and sizes – and Apico hard parts like the bling pack, holeshot device, brake pedal, gear pedal, footpegs, flexi levers and the like. You could score some of this swag just for entering early!

Other brands supporting this unique and laid-back off-road bike festival with rider packages include Emeks, who will provide three full kits and gloves or a day videoing the selected riders and providing two reels for their social media. Ryno Power will spotlight a specific class and give podium goodie bags in addition to offering a Ryno Power Sponsorship programme for the year to the winner of a class – to be determined closer to the event.

TRAK will have a display stand showing the super-stylish Red Bull SPECT goggles and will support a rider with these hot new goggles while also offering a knee and wrist brace fitting service for Mobius. Moto Verde has also pledged to offer a rider support package with its salt-free cleaners for bikes and other vehicles. And if that’s not enough, Zeroninemx will be supplying the event trophies and attendance plaques.

And of course, it’s thanks to Red Bull coming back to UK grass roots motocross that the event has taken on a more cool and laid-back festival feel. Score yourself a Red Bull if you’re old enough, check out the on-site catering and festival tent where the vibe will be chilled and fun. And of course the Red Bull Pro Stroke National racing has classes for GP-level riders as well as amateurs just having fun on their bikes. There’s nothing like it – and there will be more announcements soon on some awesome new activities that make the Festival even better with fun for all.

Commenting on the massively-increased brand support for this year’s Apico 2-Stroke Festival featuring Red Bull Pro Stroke Nationals, promoter Dave Willet said: “We’re blown away by the amount of support already confirmed and there’s more to come.

“While the race winners will always be rewarded, we want to be about more than that. That’s why we, and our partners, feel it’s important to award spot prizes across the full breadth of classes. The event is so much more than just for two-strokes as we have classes for all bikes – new or old. We have loads of incentives for riders which we want to help us evolve the sport and draw in interest from people who love all bikes.”
