Barr sets Spanish EMX250 pace

Briton Martin Barr set the fastest time in qualifying for the EMX250 championship at Redsand in Spain this morning, while EMX300 champ Brad Anderson was second behind Mike Kras in the 300 two-stroke series.

James Dunn, opting for the EMX250 series rather than the 300, put his GL12 KTM in 11th quickest time while former champ Mel Pocock was 14th, Josh Gilbert 19th, Todd Kellett 27th and James Carpenter 33rd. Hunter Lawrence’s younger brother Jett was 21st.

In the other group, Steven Clarke was best Brit in 18th. Josh Spinks was 21st, Taylor Hammal 21st, Ashton Dickinson 21st, Dylan Woodcock 22nd, Chris Mills 27th.

In the 300 class, last week’s double winner Greg Smets was 10th, Rob Holyoake 15th.
