Brunell breaks leg and wrist at Anaheim

Battling Brit Jack Brunell cracked bones in his wrist and leg at the weekend’s Anaheim Supercross but has vowed he’ll try to ride the San Diego event in two weeks. Brunell picked up a ride with the AJE GasGas team on arriving in the USA and didn’t even crash when he got hurt.

He said: “A1 didn’t go to plan I come up short on a jump in time practice 1 and landed hard on my ankle and wrist didn’t fall but managed to finish the lap off then stopped. I tried to ride the evening but was to swollen so couldn’t hold on great. Gutted as I felt good on the bike thanks @aje.motorsports for all the help and support. I got X-rays yesterday and have got a fracture in my tibia and my wrist so sucks I will miss Oakland but should be able to race San Diego just resting up and will try my best. Thank to everyone that has helped me.”
