Buildbase Honda training day raises £2600

A training day with the Buildbase Honda team at Fatcat Motopark has raised £2600 to help support UK racing this year. Triple world 500 champ Dave Thorpe, as well as current British champ Tommy Searle and former world junior champ Steven Clarke were the coaches for the day.

With Covid-19 hitting racing scene hard, the MX Nationals is the only major championship to keep top-level motocross alive in the UK this year. With no spectators allowed and hugely increased demands for far greater medical and security facilities, the costs to run big events has rocketed.

Dave Thorpe said: “Today was all about giving something back to the sport and to support the MX Nationals who have stepped up to run racing in these tough times.”

The track hosts the final round of the series this weekend. Check out our gallery of some photos from the event, and a video edit will be dropping soon.
