Clarke’s the Buildbase Honda 250 man

Former world junior champ and AMA supercrosser Steven Clarke is to race for Dave Thorpe’s Buildbase Honda team in 2020, replacing Josh Gilbert who is set to chase his GP dreams at the RFX team.

The news about Brummie Clarke was revealed on social media and also in the team video shot alongside Tommy Searle recently. Although there has not been an official statement, Clarke has already tested the bike and is keen to race the British championships in 2020.

He came close to winning the title on a Husky until the bike failed at the last round of the series in 2016, losing the title to Adam Sterry. In 2018 he rode Hondas in the EMX championship and won at Matterley Basin.

It’s believed he will spend the winter training and testing in the USA at the Millsaps Training Facility, where he has been based for many years.
