Double crash misery for Cab Screens duo

The International race debut of the CAB Screens Honda team has been put on hold as both its pro riders, James Harrison and Dan Thornhill, got hurt in crashes this week – minutes apart at separate tracks! They will sit out tomorrow’s Hawkstone International. But the good news is that the injuries aren’t too severe and both riders should only be out for up to 10 days.

Team Manager Lee Webber said: “You couldn’t make this up, both riders calling me within an hour of each other, at two different tracks, and two laps from the end of their days, having big crashes! To say I’m gutted is an understatement as both lads always support this event, but on doctors’ advice we have to do what’s best for the health of the riders.”

Harrison said: I had a big crash. I’m just really banged up and hurt my hip! It’s not too bad but I’m unable to put all my weight through it.”

The team’s Josh Peters will contest the MXY2 support race.
