Dungey talks Supercross changes and retirement!

Ryan Dungey has slammed some proposed race format changes in the AMA Supercross series and admits he’s still not made his mind up whether to race in 2018 or hang up his boots. The KTM factory star has admitted he’ll consider his future after the season-ending Supercross at Las Vegas next month. He hasn’t signed a 2018 contract and may retire.

In the post-race press conference at the Salt Lake City Supercross, he said: “I want to go racing if my heart’s in it and I still enjoy it. There are a lot of things I need to figure out but right now I don’t want top think about it.

“There are a lot of changes the sport is going to go with, the chase format and 10-lap races. It’s good when you have 20 minutes as it tests you physically. It’s getting away from the core values of the sport. They’re trying to fix something that’s not broken.”
