Edmondson gives Fantic first world podium

Eddy on his way to a podium

Harry Edmondson gave Fantic its first world podium finish in the 2020 Enduro World Championship at Requista in France on Saturday.

The Brit 125 rider, in his first world race, amazed everyone with his performance excellent times in all scheduled special tests.

HARRY EDMONDSON said: “For me this was the first world experience and I would never have dreamed and hoped to go to the podium. I am extremely happy with the result obtained and even more with the bike that the Fantic Jet Racing team gave me”.

Also on Saturday, the Fantic Darpa Racing Team riders took good results with an unlucky Jed Etchells and Hugo Svard

On Sunday Jed Etchells made a comeback by dominating the Youth class from the first special test and giving a world victory to Fantic.

Excellent performances also for Harry Edmondson, who almost failed to repeat the feat on Saturday and had to settle for a fourth position and for Hugo Svard who closed the race weekend with a good fifth place.

As usual, the French GP was attracted by a large audience and the Motoclub designed three very demanding, technical and fast special tests, widely appreciated by all the riders who took part in the race.

Our two teams will now return to Italy for Spoleto where the second round of the 2020 enduro world championship will take place next weekend

JED ETCHELLS: “Unfortunately I missed the podium on Saturday due to some mistakes but on Sunday I redeemed myself and managed to win the second day of competition. Now head and focus for the Italian GP”.

HUGO SVARD: “A challenging weekend. The results obtained do not satisfy me very much but we will do better in Italy”.
