Ireland ready for Nations push

Team Ireland looks set for a great Nations after the squad easily qualified for the main event – avoiding the nail-biting B-final last-chance race they have faced so many times.

Graeme Irwin was the star performer, battling with Tanel Leok for eighth place and looking every inch the GP-quality rider.

His Honda team mate Martin Barr took a solid 14th in the MX2 race, and TM rider Stuart Edmonds backed it up with 19th in the MXGP class – the toughest race of the day as it featured Tim Gajser, Tony Cairoli, Gautier Paulin, Max Anstie and more. Go on Team Ireland!
