MotoHead and GoRaceMX partner to boost UK dirt biking

Two of off-road motorcycling’s fastest-growing digital brands  – MotoHead and GoRaceMX – have joined forces in a ground-breaking alliance to give a boost to riders, events, practice tracks, clubs, facilities and the industry involved in the grass roots of the sport.

MotoHead – the free online source for dirt bike news and reviews in its magazine App, website, social media and YouTube channel – is teaming up with GoRaceMX – the best website for UK motocross riders to find and book in to races and practice days and find out booking information about many of the UK’s race championships.

Most riders nowadays want an easy, fast, online system to find and choose events then book in to ride, instantly via their computers or smartphones, which is the pioneering idea of GoRaceMX.com. And there are big developments in the pipeline to widen the audience to even more dirt bike riders coming soon.

The tie-up with MotoHead will see extra online promotion for events and both race and practice tracks, from grass roots right up to national series, in a bid to boost exposure to an even larger audience and ultimately increase participation in off-road sport.

MotoHead’s Dave Willet said: “MotoHead has come a long way in the past three years, bringing fresh ideas to the market which has seen us at forefront of off-road media in the UK. We have focused on building a strong following of people who actively ride and race dirt bikes.

“We plan to grow the sport in the UK even more in 2020 by supporting and promoting clubs, tracks, riders and teams at all levels of event via our link with GoRaceMX.”

MotoHead’s Adam Duckworth said: “Right from the start, we at MotoHead have always been fully committed to making exciting and relevant content for the motocross fan that regularly rides or races – the backbone of our sport and industry. Helping riders, clubs and tracks in whatever way we can feels like a very natural next step.

“We aim to further cement our position as the leading UK producer of motocross content through this partnership as we continue to develop and launch strategically-important new projects.”

GoRaceMX’s Luke Dowsing said: “I’m really excited with the partnership with MotoHead which is a great opportunity for GoRaceMx.com to grow even bigger. The biggest advantage is that all our clubs will get a huge boost in promotion through the MotoHead App, website and social media. Any clubs considering online entries or promoting their events on our site, please drop me an email to luke@goracemx.com. Roll on 2020!”

MotoHead launched as a unique, free native smartphone and tablet magazine App in 2016 – available at the Apple, Google Play and Amazon web stores – along with companion website, social media and YouTube channels. The YouTube channel has 15,780 subscribers and has had 7.1 million views and our FaceBook page 38,000 likes.

MotoHead also helped launch and grow the Apico 2-Stroke Festival events and produce branded and sponsored content for off-road companies to reach the UK market, which has included Red Bull, WP suspension, WD-40, Buildbase Honda, Yamaha UK, Apico, Boyesen, Polisport, DEP Exhausts and many more.

GoRaceMX is the No.1 online destination to search for and book into motocross events in the UK with a real-time events map, online booking and individual pages for riders to manage their riding. With regular communication with all users, the website has had 97,000 views in the past year and continues to grow.
