War of words: Roczen vs Webb

As the Supercross title fight hots up between Ken Roczen and Cooper Webb, so does the war of words between the two rivals. At the Daytona Supercross, Roczen looked like he had the holeshot but was then was pushed wide to the tough blocks by Webb who dived underneath him in the first corner.

That allowed Eli Tomac to take the lead, while Roczen had to come back through the pack. With Webb taking second, he now trails the German by just two points in the series.

Roczen fumed: “I got a really good start and Webb just pushed me really wide into the tough blocks which caused me to lose a bunch of spots. I think he’s scared of me, that’s why he plays these kind of games but little does he know I like to play as well. From here on out I’m just going to put that little bit extra focus on a daily basis, even at home, to speed up and be that much better on the weekend. He’s fuelling the fire and I’m ready for it! I like to play so let’s go!”

Webb hit back: “He was running his mouth. He wasn’t too pumped but I’m not too sure why. I saw an opening and went for it. He’s focusing on himself and clearly he showed how much he is focusing on himself.”
