Simpson heads RFX shakedown tests

MXGP rider Shaun Simpson was joined by the rest of his new RFX KTM team in shakedown tests in Spain – and these cool shots from Elliott Spencer show just how on point the set-up looks.

Former British champ Shaun, who will ride MXGPs as well as British championship races and MX Nationals, rode a 450 KTM with WP Cone Valve forks and Trax rear shock, HGS exhaust system, an RFX clutch cover, X-Trig triple clamps, CFX seats, Pro Carbon protection, Talon wheels and titanium footpegs.

The team boss is ex JK Racing Yamaha man Dickie Dye, and it’s believed John Volleberg will tune the motors. He has had a long relationship with Simpson.

The 30-year-old Scot was joined by Joel Rizzi who will ride the 125 SX in the European Championship and the MX Nationals.

Got to love Rizzi’s ring-dinger!

Nathan Dixon also joined the team for the testing and looks set to join Shaun in the MX1 class in the UK but revert to a 250 to gain some EMX 250 experience.
