Adamson joins Lexa Husqvarna

Hard-charging Scotsman John Adamson is to join the Lexa team on a 450 Husqvarna, as his deal with SC Husky ends following the final Arenacross round next weekend.

Adamson rode for the ASA GasGas squad last season, then switched to race some AMA Nationals for SC Sporthomes Husqvarna. He is racing for SC in the UK Arenacross series which ends next weekend.

The new Lexa deal says Adamson will make his debut in the Hawkstone International, the day after the Wembley AX final, and compete in the German ADAC championship. There is no mention which, if any of the UK championships he’ll contest.

Scottish champ Adamson said: “Kris and the whole team have been very welcoming, setting me up and getting me comfortable. We still have a lot of work to do and not a lot of time before the season but I believe with these guys behind me we can get it done and be competitive. All focus is on the Hawkstone International and then the German ADAC. All exciting times and look forward to hitting the ground running!”

Lexa boss Kris said: “Well pleased with new signing to elevate team to next level and quality we aim for. Was impressed with John’s professionalism and how simple easy it took to strike a deal with him so both pleased to get the best out of it. All the team is looking forward to having him on board, and he will be a great team ambassador on the track and of for our academy team also.”

Adamson joins pro MX2 racer Calum Mitchell on the team, which also has some youth and top up-and-coming amateur racers.
